Role Summary
As an experienced Talent Acquisition specialist within Mistral's APAC recruiting team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding and strengthening teams throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, Korea, India, Australia, and Japan. This position offers broad exposure to various roles, geographies, and seniority levels.
Joining Mistral’s APAC Talent Acquisition team means engaging at the crossroads of recruitment strategy and scalable execution. You will hold substantial influence in hiring decisions and collaborate closely with hiring managers as a strategic partner.
Your efforts will directly impact Mistral’s expansion by sourcing and attracting exceptional talent to drive company growth. Additionally, you will enhance the candidate journey to build a robust employer brand in the region, while developing and scaling recruitment best practices through documentation and playbooks.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical and business hiring managers to identify and secure transformative talent for Mistral.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and closing candidates.
- Spot unique individuals who exhibit entrepreneurial drive, strong dedication, and passion for achievement.
- Guide candidates through the hiring process, highlighting the unique experience of working at Mistral.
- Innovate and enhance recruitment procedures, tools, and documentation to optimize efficiency and results.
- Leverage data analytics to identify recruitment challenges and suggest improvements.
- Ensure a superior candidate experience in a highly competitive talent environment.
- Partner with colleagues to continuously elevate recruitment standards.
- Contribute actively to shaping and advancing Mistral’s talent acquisition strategy across APAC.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 8 years of recruitment experience, preferably spanning executive search, high-growth startups, and large corporate settings.
- Proven ability to deliver high-volume recruitment at scale without sacrificing quality.
- Proactive, result-driven, innovative, and intellectually curious with a willingness to take initiative and calculated risks.
- Deep expertise (T-shaped) in either Sales/Go-To-Market or technical hiring domains.
- Experience managing complex recruitment processes and autonomous hiring, especially in outbound contexts.
- Familiarity recruiting talent in fiercely competitive markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Humble, dedicated, and focused on delivering outcomes.
- Flexibility to shift between high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Fast learner with an open mindset capable of quickly mastering complex topics.
- Strong consultative abilities to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
- Well-organized, disciplined, and proficient at managing multiple projects.
- Comfortable with ambiguity typical of startups, motivated to convert uncertainty into structured processes.
- Detail-oriented, target-driven, approachable, and capable of multitasking in a demanding environment.
- Fluent in English with experience recruiting across international markets.
- Preferred experience with recruitment platforms such as Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and AI tools like Vibe and Claude.
