About the Opportunity
Pier 4 is expanding quickly and is looking to add a Talent Acquisition Associate to its Human Resources team in Toronto. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this position supports end-to-end recruitment across Canada and contributes to developing innovative hiring approaches that help the company attract outstanding talent for important roles. The successful candidate will also help represent Pier 4’s culture and values to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist with national, full-cycle hiring activities.
- Develop strong working relationships with hiring managers to help attract high-caliber talent.
- Select the most effective recruitment channels for different roles.
- Bring forward creative and forward-thinking ideas to strengthen talent attraction efforts.
- Screen resumes and applications to assess suitability for the role.
- Run initial phone interviews with shortlisted candidates and recommend who should move ahead in the process.
- Ensure candidates align with both the position requirements and the company culture.
- Maintain talent pools for active and passive candidates, especially for roles that are important to business operations.
- Identify ways to improve hiring performance, including reducing time-to-fill and increasing the quality of applicants.
- Stay informed on current recruitment practices, trends, and strategies.
- Support the creation of useful and relevant recruitment reporting.
- Act as the team specialist for Bamboo.
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma in Human Resources.
- At least 3 years of talent acquisition experience in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Strong organizational ability and the capacity to manage multiple priorities, including an average of 10 open roles at once.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates across a wide range of roles and experience levels.
- Self-driven, motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
- Experience in property management or investment industries is considered an advantage.
