About the role

Boots Ireland is hiring a Support Pharmacist to deliver high-quality care to customers and patients in an in-store pharmacy setting. This role goes beyond supplying medicines; it also involves offering trusted guidance, professional reassurance, and a consistently patient-focused service.

Key responsibilities

  • Help deliver the pharmacy plan by providing expert pharmaceutical care and advice.
  • Make sound legal and ethical decisions in day-to-day pharmacy practice.
  • Strengthen the capability of the store team in pharmacy-related work.
  • Carry out regular checks, including audits, observations, and risk assessments, to keep customer and patient safety at the centre of operations.
  • Provide a broad range of professional pharmacy services.

What you need

The ideal candidate will be caring, professional, and strongly motivated to support excellent patient care. You should also bring strong technical knowledge, be respected by patients and colleagues, and be comfortable working closely with others in a team environment.

  • Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) is required.
  • You should have a high level of professional expertise and credibility with stakeholders, peers, patients, customers, and local professionals.
  • A genuine interest in community pharmacy and delivering the best possible care is important.
  • You must work collaboratively and contribute well within a team.
  • A strong understanding of pharmacy operations and both national and local service delivery is expected.
  • You need to communicate clearly and calmly, helping people feel comfortable while meeting different customer and patient needs.
