About the Role

Become a valued member of the RAC team as a Superflex Roadside Mechanic, a role built on flexibility and dedication to customer service. This position offers a competitive salary package and a dynamic working schedule designed around a non-traditional 9-to-5 shift pattern.

Work Schedule and Location

• Average of 40 hours weekly with shifts scheduled between 06:00 and 02:00, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Rosters are provided seven days prior, with core working hours confirmed three days in advance.
• Work within the Horsham cluster, covering surrounding areas such as Crawley, Reigate, Redhill, Dorking, Oxted, East Grinstead, and Haywards Heath.
• Start and finish your day locally, focusing on assisting members in your immediate area.

Candidate Requirements

• Either hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) plus at least 2 years experience, or possess 5+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Possess a full UK driving license with fewer than 6 penalty points.

Job Expectations

Handle a variety of roadside issues ranging from fault diagnostics to flat tires and batteries. Manage your own equipment, maintain vehicle stocks, and complete necessary documentation with accuracy. Display calmness under pressure, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong problem-solving attitude.

Tools and Equipment Provided

The company supplies an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kits from day one.
