Stores & Inventory Controller

About the Role

RamcoGas Uganda is in search of a precise and detail-focused Stores & Inventory Controller responsible for managing the inflow and oversight of stock, assets, and inventory across its Ugandan branches. This key role ensures continuous stock availability, accurate inventory records, and the smooth functioning of daily operational activities.

Key Duties

• Receive and inspect incoming stock at the warehouse and LPG storage facilities.
• Verify goods against invoices to resolve any inconsistencies.
• Conduct routine visits to branch locations to assess stock levels and prevent delivery delays.
• Enter refill data and monitor cylinder movements in the Cylinder management system.
• Ensure timely cylinder restocking to avoid shortages.
• Manage daily dispatch of cylinders and other assets according to set procedures.
• Retrieve company assets such as cylinders from customers during site visits.
• Maintain assets in a secure and good condition, ensuring safe storage.
• Apply approval protocols to inhibit unauthorized stock distribution.
• Keep comprehensive records of stock transactions and movements.
• Produce regular stock status reports highlighting areas for improvement.
• Submit accurate reports to company management as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrable experience in inventory control and stock handling.
• Competence with Cylinder management systems is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
• Good communication skills for liaising with multiple branches and stakeholders.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
