Role Overview
This position is part of the Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) contract and is based at Moorebank Military Area in New South Wales. The role supports Defence logistics and warehousing operations, helping ensure equipment and materials are handled safely, accurately, and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements. The environment is fast-paced, highly safety-focused, and depends on reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
What the Role Involves
Reporting to the Operations Manager and working with Team Leaders, the Storeperson Grade 3 helps keep site operations running smoothly. The role includes warehouse processing, inventory control, freight handling, delivery driving, forklift work, and the safe movement of Defence-related goods and materials.
- Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch Defence equipment, supplies, and materials.
- Use warehouse management systems and material handling equipment to track and move stock.
- Carry out inventory control activities and action system reports as needed.
- Support safe, clean, and compliant warehouse operations.
- Work collaboratively to meet operational targets and service expectations.
- Follow Defence regulations, site procedures, safety rules, and operational standards.
What You Need
The ideal candidate will bring warehouse or logistics experience, a current forklift licence, and a valid HR truck driving licence. A current NV1 Security Clearance is required. The job also involves working outdoors to deliver stores and equipment to Defence personnel in the field, so physical capability for manual handling is important. - Work that contributes directly to Australia’s Defence capability.
Eligibility and Checks

Pre-employment screening will include criminal history checks, medical assessment, and other background checks. Candidates must also be entitled to work in Australia.
