About the role

Forever New is looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead its Townsville store in Queensland. This position suits a fashion-driven leader who enjoys coaching teams, lifting sales performance, and creating an engaging retail experience.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this role offers a strong progression opportunity within a fast-growing fashion and accessories business. You will work in a lively store environment where each day brings different priorities, from team leadership to customer engagement and product presentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support the store team to deliver a high-performing retail experience.
  • Work toward sales, wage, and store target achievement.
  • Build strong working relationships within the team and across the store.
  • Coach and develop team members through regular one-on-one guidance and support.
  • Manage rosters effectively to suit trading and staffing needs.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer service and a positive store atmosphere.
  • Use visual merchandising skills to present garments and the store to a high standard.
  • Engage confidently with a varied customer base and support the sale of fashion product.
  • Take an active hands-on role in the day-to-day running of the store.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing a retail store.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales, wage, and target outcomes.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to coach, inspire, and lead a team.
  • Exposure to performance management processes.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Capability to plan and manage rosters effectively.
  • Background in visual merchandising.
  • Willingness to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays when needed.
  • Understanding of fashion trends and the retail fashion environment.
