Role overview

This position supports store operations by keeping cart areas organized, assisting shoppers, and helping maintain a safe and tidy retail environment. It is a strong fit for someone interested in customer-facing work and everyday retail tasks.

Key duties

• Gather shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking area, and around the store, then return them to the proper secure storage location using approved store procedures.
• Complete the required logs and records connected to cart collection and retrieval.
• Provide quick help at registers when needed, including assisting customers with carry-outs or carry-ins and checking receipts when required as proof of purchase.
• Carry out occasional restroom cleaning and basic maintenance following the correct handling, disposal, and chemical safety practices.
• Use power equipment only as directed and finish the required inspection report before operating it.
• Follow safety and emergency rules, including procedures for hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and blood-borne pathogen exposure.
• Keep the Cart Retrieval Log updated at the Customer Service Desk.
• Support a clean, safe, and hazard-free workplace by following company policies and procedures.
• Wear the required protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear and a reflective vest during cart collection for visibility.
• Complete safety sweeps whenever they are needed.

Pay

The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.15.

Minimum qualifications
