University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join their dynamic team on Ward 111, a busy surgical unit focusing on ENT, Plastics, Maxillofacial, and Oncology care. This role offers extensive opportunities for professional development and specialization.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities
- Provide high-quality surgical nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop specialist skills such as tracheostomy care, laryngectomy care, flap monitoring, and pre- and post-operative patient management.
- Engage in training programs and competency assessments related to the specialties.
- Work collaboratively within a motivated team to deliver evidence-based innovative care.
- Receive mentorship and guidance from senior staff members.
Candidate Profile
- Enthusiastic and motivated to contribute to a multidisciplinary team.
- Preferably has surgical nursing experience and basic computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Experience in tracheostomy care is advantageous but not mandatory.
