Role Overview
The Business Development Specialist supports the GCC Business Development team by driving critical commercial activities, including forecasting, business planning, promotional execution, and distributor coordination, all aimed at enhancing customer management and accelerating business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with sales forecasting and maintain related planning tools and dashboards.
- Support business review processes to inform strategic decisions.
- Monitor promotional initiatives and manage trade investment tracking.
- Provide support for return on investment (ROI) analysis on promotions.
- Coordinate distributor reporting and track customer execution metrics.
- Address and assist in resolving issues impacting commercial activity.
- Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly reports analyzing sales trends and performance.
- Deliver actionable insights based on data analysis to support business growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to ensure smooth commercial execution throughout GCC markets.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years in roles such as Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, Business Development Support, or Trade Marketing.
- Experience in the FMCG sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis and business reporting.
- Exposure to GCC markets is an added advantage.
- Experience managing trade spend and supporting distributor operations.
- Familiarity with e-commerce reporting is beneficial.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
