Job Overview
This role provides an exceptional opportunity for accounting professionals to transition into a Special Agent position within the FBI. Leveraging your financial expertise, you will engage in complex investigations that demand critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork with seasoned experts confronting national security challenges. Your investigative work will contribute to safeguarding the country against cyber threats, terrorism, financial crimes, and other emerging hazards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform investigations into potential breaches of federal statutes, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety risks.
- Apply sound judgment, creativity, and flexibility to meet the evolving demands of investigations.
- Establish and sustain productive partnerships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement bodies.
- Maintain physical fitness levels necessary to fulfill rigorous law enforcement responsibilities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance is required.
- Willingness to travel as needed for the role.
- Ability to satisfy the FBI’s employment eligibility standards.
- Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited U.S. institution, preferably in accounting, business administration, finance, or forensic accounting.
- Submission of official college transcripts to verify educational qualifications.
Additional Information
This position is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. The salary range offered spans from $93,749 to $133,200, varying based on base salary, locality adjustments, and availability pay.
