Job description
Overview
This position is for an experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) professional to join a team in Noida. The ideal candidate will have between 7 to 15 years of experience with a strong background of at least 3 years directly in SAM, emphasizing enterprise software licensing, compliance audits, and cloud licensing expertise across platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Primary Responsibilities
- Regularly develop Effective License Positions (ELPs) to optimize return on investment and enhance cost efficiencies.
- Use tools like Snow Atlas and Snow for Engineering on a daily basis to manage software assets and licensing compliance.
- Analyze complex software licensing agreements and contract terms to ensure adherence and advantageous positioning.
- Actively contribute to risk mitigation by identifying opportunities to reduce renewal expenses and deliver actionable insights into license usage and expenditure.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years practical experience in Software Asset Management.
- In-depth understanding of enterprise software licensing models and compliance audit processes.
- Proficient knowledge of cloud licensing frameworks, specifically AWS and GCP.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of motivating teams and maintaining excellent client relationships.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in high-pressure environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications related to SAM or software licensing.
- ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.
