Job Overview

The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for creating and managing engaging short-form video content for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok. This role requires a creative individual with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for social media trends. The position is a part-time contract role, expected to last through the end of the year, requiring 15-20 hours per week. While the role is primarily remote, occasional on-site visits for content filming will be necessary. The ideal candidate must be available to work EST hours.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, edit, and optimize short-form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok, ensuring alignment with current trends, platform best practices, and brand guidelines.
  • Contribute to national and local content initiatives by utilizing provided campaign guides, toolkits, and brand direction.
  • Develop draft captions, alternative copy, and visual concepts for review by the media team.
  • Assist in planning launch-specific, short-term content, with a critical focus on timely execution.
  • Offer creative suggestions and implement best practices to enhance content performance.
  • Schedule organic posts across various social media channels using Sprout Social and native platform tools.
  • Verify the accuracy of content across all channels, markets, and scheduled publication dates.
  • Maintain and update content calendars to facilitate ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Submit and manage creative requests through internal workflow systems.
  • Translate campaign plans into detailed asset lists, specifying required formats and specifications.
  • Monitor project timelines, follow up on outstanding deliverables, and proactively identify potential risks or delays.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library, adhering to strict naming conventions and version control protocols.
  • Coordinate with influencers to ensure timely and accurate posting of their deliverables.
  • Track influencer deadlines, posting schedules, usage rights, and asset submissions.
  • Follow up with influencers as needed to confirm adherence to campaign requirements.
  • Organize influencer-generated assets for internal reporting and summary documents.
  • Monitor live campaigns and capture screenshots for reporting purposes and leadership updates.
  • Organize performance documentation, categorizing by campaign, channel, market, and date.
  • Support light reporting tasks by summarizing campaign and post performance for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with creative audits, competitive analysis, and campaign readiness assessments.
  • Engage in cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving workflows, templates, and documentation.
  • Provide project management support during periods of high-priority content creation or rapid content deployment.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance content, creative output, or workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in social media management.
  • A professional background of 2 to 4 years in social media, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably gained in an agency or in-house setting.
  • Demonstrated strong experience in producing and editing short-form video content specifically for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
  • Proficiency in using content creation and editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, and Photoshop.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • A highly collaborative approach, with prior experience working effectively across different departments.
  • A solid understanding of social media platform best practices and current trends.
  • The capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously amidst changing priorities, exhibiting flexibility and adaptability.

Perks

This contract role offers a flexible part-time schedule (15-20 hours/week) and the convenience of remote work, with the exception of occasional on-site filming requirements. The compensation is competitive, ranging from $35 to $40 per hour.

Eligibility

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of hands-on social media experience are encouraged to apply. A professional background of 2-4 years in social media, content creation, or digital marketing is preferred. Experience with short-form video production for TikTok and Instagram Reels, proficiency in CapCut, Canva, and Photoshop, strong organizational skills, collaborative spirit, and adaptability are essential.
