About the Role
Lotus Care is hiring a full-time Social Care Assistant based in Athlone and Bigmeadow, County Westmeath, Ireland. This permanent position offers a guaranteed 42-hour workweek at a consistent location, allowing you to avoid the stress and expenses of traveling between multiple client locations. Salary ranges between €35,000 and €55,000, dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Promote and support individuals' decision-making, independence, and personal growth.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, health, and appearance.
- Follow person-centered care plans tailored to individual goals and needs.
- Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Administer and accurately record prescribed medication administration.
- Serve as a key worker, aiding service recipients in achieving their objectives.
- Document and communicate any incidents or complaints involving staff, service recipients, or visitors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MDT) to facilitate care goals.
Requirements
- A minimum Level 5 qualification in Social or Health Care Studies.
- A full Irish driving license (required for occasional driving of company vehicles).
- Experience in social care or healthcare is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Successful Garda Vetting or Police Clearance.
