Job Overview
Laing O'Rourke, in partnership with Select Security, is seeking experienced Security Industry Authority (SIA) licensed Traffic Marshals to support construction works for a new prison site at Ranby. This role involves active management of site entry activities, including logging all deliveries and assisting with vehicle processing onto the construction premises.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for overseeing gate operations, ensuring all vehicle movements are logged accurately, and facilitating smooth vehicle entry into the site. Acting as vigilant monitors, these Traffic Marshals will safeguard the construction teams and the public by maintaining vehicle and security awareness and preventing unauthorized access to restricted zones. As a vital part of the logistics team, marshals will keep watch over the construction area and surrounding access points to maintain safety and security.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals holding valid SIA licenses in security guarding, door supervision, or close protection, alongside a CPCS Card categorized under A73 Vehicle and Plant Marshal. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, sound judgement, and integrity while collaborating effectively within a large security and project team environment. A strong customer service orientation is paramount.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage starting at 14.90, increasing to 15.65 post-probation

Additional Information
The position requires successful completion of a vetting procedure that can take up to four weeks unless candidates already possess EL1 clearance.
