Role overview
This position places you at the centre of a busy yard operation, helping ensure vehicles and trailers are moved safely and efficiently so daily work continues without interruption.
Working pattern
The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with working hours from 14:00 to 22:00.
Key duties
- Move vehicles and trailers around the yard in a safe and controlled manner.
- Complete routine vehicle checks and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Attach and detach trailers according to site rules and operating standards.
- Use agreed hand signals and communication practices to manage vehicle movements.
- Carry out all tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Work alongside other team members to maintain a steady yard flow.
- Escalate faults, defects, or other concerns to supervisors without delay.

You should have at least 1 year of driving experience and be comfortable operating vehicles within a controlled yard setting. A strong safety mindset, good attention to detail, clear communication, and a willingness to follow procedures are important for success in this role.
