Role overview

This part-time Customs Clearance Clerk position based in Kent, England is focused on keeping cross-border freight moving accurately and in line with customs rules. The role sits within a vital operational function that supports communities and trade across Europe and beyond. You will work 12-hour shifts covering both days and nights, and you’ll be expected to manage a fast-moving workload where precision matters.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare, review, and process customs paperwork and related shipping documents.
  • Enter shipment and clearance information correctly into internal systems.
  • Respond to enquiries from colleagues, customers, and official bodies.
  • Coordinate with hauliers, suppliers, and other external contacts.
  • Track shipments and act quickly to fix any clearance or movement issues.
  • Stay current on customs procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Assist the wider team in delivering a seamless end-to-end clearance process.

What the role needs

The company is seeking someone with at least 3 years of current customs clearance experience and a solid working knowledge of customs processes. Working pattern
