Role Overview

This position sits within Magna’s Cosma group, which develops body, chassis, and engineering solutions for global customers. The team focuses on advanced product engineering, strong tooling capabilities, and a variety of manufacturing processes to deliver lightweight and innovative products. You’ll join a fast-moving environment where the company supports employee development and offers varied responsibilities.

What the Role Involves

  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipment requirements with the tooling team.
  • Obtain quotes for outbound shipments and prepare purchase requisitions for approval.
  • Produce accurate delivery notes and commercial invoices, and work with selected carriers to keep deliveries correct and on schedule.
  • Chase up delayed shipments and keep internal teams informed of progress.
  • Verify delivered materials carefully and record all receipts in CMS.
  • Manage consumable stores by setting minimum and maximum stock levels and raising purchase requisitions for replenishment when needed.
  • Load and unload transport vehicles while complying with health and safety rules.
  • Move deliveries from the stores area to the point of use as required.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Duties

  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Support and promote plant rules and all safety and non-safety regulations.
  • Report hazards, defects, and any non-compliance issues to the relevant supervisor or manager.
  • Immediately report incidents or accidents to a first aider, leadhand, supervisor, or manager.
  • Use equipment, machinery, and vehicles only according to operating instructions and maintenance procedures.
  • Wear all personal protective equipment issued for the role.
  • Carry out pre-use inspections of equipment, machinery, and vehicles to confirm safe operation, including checklist-based preventive checks.
  • Maintain a tidy work area and follow housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Take part in investigations when required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A forklift licence is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are important.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is helpful.
  • Good organisational skills and accurate record keeping are needed.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Word and Excel is expected; prior CMS experience is an advantage.

Additional Information

Training may include orientation, WHMIS, fire extinguisher training, TE-specific training, and an ISO 14001 overview. The role is a regular permanent position. Magna is committed to equal opportunity hiring and considers candidates based on qualifications and role requirements. The company also notes that, as part of its recruitment process, AI tools may assist with initial screening within its internal system, while final hiring decisions remain with the hiring manager and team.
