Key Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement projects across welding, assembly, and stamping to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Support tooling and process development, product launches, engineering modifications, and value analysis/value engineering activities.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and contribute to quality enhancement initiatives.
• Maintain and update manufacturing documentation such as PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, work instructions, and engineering records.
• Apply GD&T principles to maintain accurate and robust manufacturing processes.
• Oversee manufacturing projects from initial feasibility to launch, including equipment setup, validation, PPAP, and run-rate assessments.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to improve safety, ergonomics, equipment performance, and overall manufacturing productivity.
• Conduct root cause analyses for production and quality issues and implement corrective measures promptly.
• Enhance manufacturing layouts, material flow, labor utilization, and ergonomic workstation design.
• Coordinate tooling, equipment deployment, and production launch to adhere to cost, schedule, and quality standards.
• Support automation initiatives and manufacturing systems by contributing to CAD layout and PLC troubleshooting.
• Assist in preparing customer quotations, capital project proposals, and new business pursuits.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, quality, environmental, and health and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• Occasional international travel for customer engagements or launch activities.
• Work across multiple locations within and outside the manufacturing plant.
• Occasional overtime might be required to support production and customer demands.
• Capable of lifting up to 20 kilograms.
• Periodic exposure to temperature fluctuations and noise levels.
• Office work embedded within an active manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• At least five years of experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing settings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
• Experience in project management and cost estimation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with automotive quality and continuous improvement frameworks like APQP and PFMEA.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Availability to work overtime as needed.
