Job description
Role Summary
This role is focused on improving LNG fleet performance by examining ship and voyage data, identifying efficiency gains, lowering fuel usage, supporting charter party warranty compliance, and turning technical findings into practical reports and recommendations for the LNG fleet.
Experience and Technical Background
- Applicants should bring 3 to 5 years of experience either sailing on LNG vessels in a senior position, working in vessel performance analysis, or in marine engineering.
- A solid understanding of LNG carrier propulsion arrangements such as X-DF, ME-GI, and DFDE is required, along with familiarity with boil-off handling systems including reliquefaction, regasification, subcoolers, and related fuel-performance behaviour.
- Candidates need strong numerical and analytical ability, plus hands-on use of tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel-based performance models.
- The position calls for the ability to read and interpret performance curves, boil-off gas trends, speed-consumption charts, and other technical datasets.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and report preparation skills are essential, along with the confidence to present conclusions in a clear way.
- Accuracy, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities while working under pressure are important for success in this role.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills are also expected.
Education
A bachelor’s degree is required in Engineering (Marine, Mechanical, or Naval Architecture), Nautical Science, Data Analytics, or a closely related discipline.
