Job description
Role overview
This is a senior individual contributor position for a professional who can lead meaningful change. As Senior Product Manager for Cloud and Infrastructure Managed Services at Datacom, you will own a strategically significant portfolio and focus on evolving, standardising and expanding service offerings while maintaining strong commercial performance.
Although this role does not include direct reports, it carries substantial influence. You will work at a senior level to shape roadmaps, prepare business cases and steer priorities across delivery leads, tooling teams, vendors and finance stakeholders. Your work will directly affect how the managed services business grows and scales.
Key responsibilities
You will manage the Cloud and Infrastructure Managed Services portfolio from opportunity identification through to benefit tracking in production. Your work will include strategy, commercial planning, roadmap ownership and stakeholder engagement.
- Set and maintain the portfolio strategy so it aligns with wider business goals.
- Spot opportunities to enhance, standardise, simplify, rationalise or launch new service offerings.
- Prepare business cases, commercial models and cost-benefit analyses to inform investment choices.
- Own the product roadmap and pricing approach, and recommend priorities based on strategic and commercial impact.
- Track improvement initiatives from concept to production and measure the results.
- Monitor market and customer trends to understand changing demand and emerging opportunities.
- Assist with pre-sales discussions and client conversations by explaining service direction and roadmap commitments.
- Work closely with product leadership, delivery teams, tooling groups, vendors and finance partners.
What we're looking for
You should be an experienced cloud and infrastructure specialist with strong commercial judgement. The role calls for someone comfortable with complexity, able to work through ambiguity and capable of influencing outcomes without formal authority.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, private cloud environments and managed services.
- Commercial capability, including the ability to build business cases and investment proposals.
- Experience supporting pre-sales activity and converting customer needs into portfolio actions.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
- Structured problem-solving ability and a proactive, results-focused approach.
- Clear, confident communication skills for executive updates, client conversations and team working sessions.
Additional notes
Product management experience is helpful but not mandatory. If you bring strong domain expertise, commercial strength and strategic thinking, your application is welcome. A tertiary qualification is preferred, although equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
