About the Company

Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) is a major gateway services provider in India. It is a joint venture between Air India Limited, part of the TATA Group, and SATS Ltd., which is among the world’s largest air cargo handling companies and a leading airline caterer in Asia.

AISATS is powered by its people, whose dedication to dependable service and customer delight supports the company’s commitment to service excellence. This approach has shaped the business for more than ten years. With strong expertise in the aviation ecosystem, the company delivers complete ground handling solutions including passenger and baggage handling, ramp handling, aircraft interior cleaning, load control and flight operations, and cargo services for general, perishable, transshipment, express courier, and special cargo.

Role Overview

The Senior Manager – HR Operations (HRBP) will partner with airport operations teams to deliver HR strategies, manage essential HR workflows, and support compliance with labor regulations and aviation standards. The position connects HR with business operations to strengthen employee engagement, improve performance, and support efficiency across the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business leaders to understand operational needs and shape HR plans that support them.
  • Lead initiatives for workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational structure design.
  • Assist with change management efforts and culture-building programs.
  • Manage onboarding activities so new joiners are integrated smoothly and have a positive experience.
  • Serve as a dependable point of contact for employee issues and ensure concerns are resolved in line with policy.
  • Create and roll out engagement activities, feedback systems, and recognition programs.
  • Encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.
  • Support performance review cycles and help ensure meaningful feedback and development plans are in place.
  • Guide managers on people leadership, coaching, and conflict handling.
  • Assess training needs and coordinate learning programs to build employee capability.
  • Handle core HR operations such as payroll inputs, attendance tracking, and benefits administration with accuracy.
  • Maintain adherence to labor laws, airport-specific regulations, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to process simplification and digital HR adoption to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Track HR indicators such as attrition, absenteeism, and engagement levels.
  • Use trend analysis and predictive insights to support leadership decisions.
  • Prepare reports for management reviews and audits.
  • Develop retention and career growth initiatives for operational employees.
  • Support well-being efforts that improve employee satisfaction and overall experience.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.

The role calls for 10–15 years of HR experience across several functions such as talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations. At least 3 years should be in an HR business partnering role, ideally in a large-scale or multi-location operational setting. Experience with HRIS tools and labor law compliance is also needed.

Personal Attributes

The ideal candidate should bring strong interpersonal and communication abilities, a practical approach to solving problems, confidence in conflict resolution, high attention to detail, and a structured mindset. The role also requires comfort working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
