Role overview
Valence Surface Technologies is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance Planning & Analysis function. The role is centered on financial reporting, forecasting, planning support, data analysis, and business partnering in a remote setup.
Key responsibilities
- Support the monthly close cycle by preparing financial reporting and reviewing forecast performance.
- Contribute to budgeting and long-range planning using financial models and analysis.
- Analyze large data sets to identify patterns, variances, and actionable business insights.
- Build and update dashboards and visual reports in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Use SQL or Power Query to pull, clean, and reshape data for analysis and reporting.
- Partner with teams across finance, operations, and business development to support strategic work.
- Look for ways to streamline financial processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Handle additional analysis and project work as needed.
Required profile
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar area. A strong interest in financial analysis, corporate finance, or FP&A is important, along with solid Excel capability and analytical thinking. Experience with Power BI or SQL is an advantage, as is familiarity with Oracle EPM, relational databases, or data warehousing concepts. Strong written and verbal communication skills, a sound understanding of corporate finance, and a willingness to learn and adapt are also expected.
Work conditions
This is a remote position. The role may involve occasional business travel, estimated at around 5%, although the amount of travel can vary depending on growth and acquisition activity. If travel is required, work may take place in a manufacturing plant environment where personal protective equipment must be worn.
Compensation
The stated salary range is $110,000 to $115,000.
