Role Overview

Nextcloud is seeking a seasoned, practical Senior Event Manager to help elevate the brand on the international stage through memorable event experiences. Working within the Global Event & Partner Marketing team, you will own the delivery of high-impact event programs ranging from large internal company events to major industry conferences that strengthen visibility, boost engagement, and support international growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of event planning and delivery from start to finish, covering large company gatherings, global conferences, and partner-led activations.
• Work closely with the team lead to develop and expand the company’s worldwide event approach.
• Build event programs, shape agendas, and coordinate speakers and keynote sessions to create compelling attendee experiences.
• Support event promotion across multiple channels in partnership with Marketing and Communications.
• Ensure event objectives and messaging are aligned with wider business priorities by collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams.
• Handle event operations end to end, including budgets, timelines, venue sourcing, vendor management, staffing, and execution on site.
• Act as a representative of Nextcloud at trade shows, conferences, and partner events around the world.
• Tailor event formats and experiences for different regions, cultures, and audience groups.
• Measure performance, collect attendee insights, and use findings to improve future events.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in event management, preferably in a global B2B or technology setting.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver international events in virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats.
• Strong project management capability, with the confidence to run several events at the same time.
• A creative, detail-oriented approach to designing distinctive event experiences.
• The ability to work autonomously in a remote environment, paired with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good analytical skills for evaluating event outcomes and return on investment.
• Strong English fluency is mandatory; German or French is preferred, and additional languages are beneficial.
