Overview

The Procurement team is pivotal in this mission, ensuring effective sourcing and procurement strategies. We are looking for an energetic, result-driven Procurement Manager for our Opex Procurement team within the Packaging & Services category to manage end-to-end sourcing in a rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze spend patterns, supplier performance, and compliance to guide key procurement and category decisions, focusing on Packaging & Services.
  • Leverage market insights to recognize trends and proactively address potential issues within assigned categories.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies collaboratively with cross-functional groups, ensuring communication to secure stakeholder and supplier alignment and drive expected outcomes.
  • Establish spending controls and identify cost-saving opportunities while advising internal business teams on the justification of purchases.
  • Identify suppliers deserving long-term contracts based on their value contribution, and create high partnership standards accordingly.
  • Set and regularly review supplier diversity and sourcing goals to enhance category deliverables.
  • Lead negotiations on commercial terms, contracts, and implementation plans, coordinating with legal, operations, and vendors to ensure compliance and effective contracting.
  • Work autonomously with discretion to promote procurement objectives internally and externally.
  • Oversee the entire process of supplier evaluation, RFP conduction, contract finalization, and record maintenance for categories including plastics, labels, boxes, and flexible packaging.
  • Drive packaging innovation by collaborating with suppliers on sample evaluation, quality assurance, and timely delivery.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships representing Amazon clearly and effectively.
  • Monitor monthly spending trends and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage both internal and external stakeholders to align with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in procurement roles.
  • Advanced degree, preferably a Master’s, is favored.
