Role Overview
This part-time, remote position is for a Scrum Master / Release Manager contributing to AI-based healthcare research and software initiatives. The individual will facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to optimize delivery within cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sprint planning sessions and backlog refinement to ensure clear, actionable user stories aligned with clinical and research requirements.
- Coordinate release timelines, dependencies, and risk management with stakeholders including researchers, developers, and clinical partners.
- Monitor project progress, detect impediments, and support continuous improvement of development processes.
- Promote agile methodologies adapted for clinical and research contexts maintaining compliance with quality and governance standards.
- Communicate effectively across remote, multidisciplinary teams to align goals and schedules.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in Agile delivery, including sprint and iterative development management.
- Capability to translate complex clinical or research requirements into manageable user stories and tasks.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate project metrics and support data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate meetings and coordinate remote teams.
- Familiarity with software development life cycles and collaboration within Agile engineering teams.
- Experience in Scrum Master, Release Manager, or comparable roles. Agile certifications like CSM, PSM, or SAFe are advantageous.
- Interest or background in healthcare, clinical research, or AI/ML product domains is preferred.
- Self-motivated to work independently in a part-time, remote capacity, managing workload and adapting to project changes.
