This is a permanent full-time position with two possible shift patterns, Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

About the employer

Pinnacle Group is a nationwide provider of housing, neighbourhood, and workplace services, with more than 30 years of experience delivering maintenance and place-based management support that improves everyday life for communities. The organisation promotes a people-first approach and a values-led culture focused on Trust, Respect, Involve, Challenge, and Deliver Excellence.

What the role involves

  • Protect the safety and integrity of the school site by carrying out locking, unlocking, patrols, and monitoring duties.
  • Complete routine daily tasks such as litter collection, bin emptying, and sweeping according to the schedule.
  • Support planned preventative maintenance activities in line with the school timetable and your own skill set.
  • Provide access, guidance, and on-site support to contractors and service providers carrying out repairs or planned maintenance.
  • Handle minor repair and decoration work.
  • Investigate day-to-day reactive maintenance issues, make temporary or lasting fixes where possible, or escalate to management for service-provider support within required procedures and timelines.
  • Respond to urgent incidents and take action for temporary or permanent resolution as required.
  • Assist with porterage tasks, parcel collection, moving furniture, and rearranging rooms.
  • Carry out weekly checks of drains and gullies to clear blockages, perform weekly plant-room inspections, manage plant changeovers, sterilise shower heads monthly, and complete patching and scheduled painting work.

Candidate profile

The employer is looking for someone who brings practical handyperson ability, a helpful manner, and the confidence to work with both internal teams and external contractors.
