NPLQ Lifeguard

Role overview

We are hiring Lifeguards for a full-time on-site position in Tenby, Wales. This role may also involve part-time or seasonal working patterns. The pay rate is £12.71 per hour. As part of the team, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable swimming environment for guests.

What you will do

• Keep a close watch on swimming areas to help prevent incidents and protect guest safety.
• Act quickly in emergency situations by carrying out rescues and giving first aid when required.
• Apply pool and facility rules consistently to maintain a secure and pleasant environment.
• Carry out routine checks on pool equipment and the wider facility to make sure safety standards are met.
• Help keep the pool area clean, tidy, and well organised.
• Support guests with questions or concerns and deliver friendly customer service.

What you need

• A valid NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification).
• Strong swimming ability.
• Good judgement, alertness, and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Confidence to stay focused and respond rapidly in emergencies.
• A helpful, approachable manner and clear communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Additional requirements

The successful candidate must complete an Enhanced DBS check before starting work.
