About the Company
A multinational organization operating in the energy services space is looking for a seasoned Sales Manager to expand business in the natural gas compressors segment and strengthen relationships with important customers. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position for someone with a strong commercial mindset, deep sector knowledge, and a history of delivering measurable growth.
About the Role
The position is centered on expanding market presence and managing strategic customer accounts within the natural gas compressors industry.
Market Development and Business Growth
- Identify, develop, and widen the customer base, including new end users and EPC partners in the local market.
- Build, follow up on, and convert sales opportunities into confirmed contracts for natural gas compressors and related products such as screw, reciprocating, and centrifugal compressors, along with metering skids and processing equipment.
- Lead commercial efforts to meet revenue and profit objectives.
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Create and execute sales plans that support company goals.
- Handle commercial discussions, tendering activities, and contract closure.
- Work closely with technical, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure projects are delivered smoothly.
Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis
- Track market developments, regulatory updates, and competitor activity.
- Carry out periodic market research and prepare analytical reports to guide business decisions.
- Share customer insights, competitor intelligence, and information on new business opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with key clients, government bodies, strategic partners, and distributors.
- Represent the organization at global exhibitions, industry forums, and conferences to strengthen brand visibility and generate new business.
- Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to deal closure.
- Keep CRM records accurate and current for all sales activity, prospects, and client interactions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing is required.
- 8 to 10+ years of sales experience in oil and gas, EPC, or the broader energy sector.
- Direct experience selling natural gas compressors and related equipment is necessary.
- Strong capability in negotiation, business development, and commercial operations.
- Good understanding of Middle East oil and gas markets and their business environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in negotiating and securing contracts with organizations such as KNOC, ADNOC, and KOC is required.
- Fluent English is mandatory; Arabic will be considered an added advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary is competitive. Performance bonus details will be discussed. Annual bonus will depend on yearly achievement and company policy. Additional benefits include family visa support, annual return tickets for family members, family insurance, and other similar benefits.
