Role overview
The Circle Relationship Head will be responsible for driving business growth across the assigned region or area and delivering the planned targets. The role focuses on building strong relationships with channel partners, supporting smoother business operations, and guiding a team of Sales Managers to ensure compliant and high-quality business execution.
Business context and key challenges
This position operates in an open architecture environment with a significant dependence on the relationship with HDFC Bank. Primary accountabilities
- Deliver premium and revenue targets to support overall company growth.
- Maintain regular engagement with channel partners and Circle Heads through the prescribed review rhythm.
- Map key decision-makers and establish a structured review mechanism based on the agreed intervals.
- Roll out reward and recognition initiatives effectively through the field network.
- Ensure sales and service processes run smoothly by communicating product updates, process changes, and regulatory or internal policy revisions through suitable training modules.
- Support frontline sales and service activities, including sales calls, issuance support, and complaint resolution.
- Address bank customer needs by offering suitable insurance and banking product solutions.
- Build and sustain relationships across multiple levels to drive the intended business outcomes.
- Use reward and recognition programs strategically to influence the desired channel behaviour.
- Optimize channel spend so it contributes efficiently to business objectives.
- Track and improve key performance outcomes such as people retention, team activation, first-year premium issued, number of policies, and product mix.
- Bring in business above the expected benchmark and share inputs for new products and sales pitches based on channel insights.
- Identify training requirements for both internal teams and channel partner teams.
- Fill positions or vacancies within the targeted turnaround time of T+15 days.
- Develop innovative ways to increase database penetration and improve business productivity.
- Review business quality regularly and ensure customer complaints are resolved within the defined T+72 hour timeline.
- Take documented corrective action in cases of employee default on quality or conduct standards.
- Maintain persistence through regular MIS sharing and renewal communication on a T-30 basis, where T is the renewal date.
- Follow up on queries to support timely renewals and conduct internal renewal reviews every fortnight.
