Role Overview

The Sales Manager II role is centered on acquiring and engaging single-outlet independent restaurants within an assigned city. You will be the main business contact for restaurant partners, understand their challenges, and build relationships that help them grow through improved orders, visibility, and customer engagement. The role is highly consultative and field-based, requiring adaptability, initiative, and a strong interest in partner success. It also offers exposure to restaurant operations, sales strategy, and territory ownership.

What You Will Do

  • Take ownership of a defined territory and build productive relationships with the restaurant partners assigned to you.
  • Spend significant time in the field, meeting restaurant owners in person, demonstrating products, analyzing ROI, and explaining the mutual value of partnering with Swiggy.
  • Use a consultative sales approach by asking the right questions about current business channels, delivery operations, marketing investment, and growth objectives, then present Swiggy solutions accordingly.
  • Handle the complete partner journey each month, including pitching, negotiation, onboarding or activation, and continued account support.
  • Monitor usage and growth indicators, identify reasons for underperformance, and take corrective action where needed.
  • Be responsible for revenue outcomes within the territory and maintain visibility into your pipeline and conversion performance.
  • Work extensively with Excel, Google Sheets, and WSP to manage city and central reporting data; strong spreadsheet capability is essential.
  • Keep track of restaurant industry trends, competitor activity, and local market changes, and share field insights that can influence product decisions.
  • Complete roughly 80 to 90 in-person meetings with restaurant partners every month.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with prior exposure to B2B sales, field sales, or business development, ideally from FMCG, food and beverage, or hospitality backgrounds. The right person should be comfortable owning a pipeline, working toward targets, and operating in a fast-moving restaurant business that runs around the clock. Strong analytical comfort, especially in spreadsheets, is important, along with the ability to create pivot tables, use VLOOKUP, and build dashboards independently. A postgraduate background, preferably in marketing or sales, is preferred.
