About the Role
The Sales Manager for Car Loans is focused on bringing in new borrowers for car finance products across assigned branches in India. The position involves face-to-face customer engagement, explaining loan offerings, and delivering a smooth service experience. The incumbent must understand customer requirements, work within approved internal and external rules, and help grow business by increasing disbursals while protecting portfolio quality. The role also contributes to digital adoption and automation efforts aimed at improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Source car loan customers from the assigned market segment and local catchment area.
- Consistently achieve and surpass monthly new-customer acquisition goals by assessing transaction banking requirements.
- Share timely insights with Relationship Managers about customer needs and business prospects.
- Follow the organization’s selling standards and standard operating procedures at all times.
- Comply with internal policies as well as applicable external regulatory requirements.
- Ensure sourcing quality is aligned with the bank’s credit and operations guidelines.
- Encourage a team culture that supports automation and digital tools to better serve customers.
- Support initiatives that contribute to the bank’s aggressive growth objectives.
What We Are Looking For
Applicants should hold a graduate degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification is an added advantage. The role calls for 0 to 4 years of relevant sales experience, ideally in car loans or retail lending. Strong spoken and written English communication is essential, along with a customer-first mindset, the ability to assess needs and spot opportunities, and familiarity with car loan products and banking operations. Candidates should also demonstrate discipline around compliance, comfort with target-driven environments, and awareness of digital banking and automation practices.
