About the Role
The position of Gold Loan Auditor focuses on ensuring audits in branches are completed within specified timelines and meet quality standards. This role involves detailed valuation of gold loans using standard methodologies and comprehensive verification to confirm collateral purity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct valuation assessments of gold loans using established standard procedures.
- Perform thorough checks to verify the purity of collateral through all available means.
- Ensure that branch audits are executed promptly within targeted turnaround times and maintain quality standards.
- Systematically assess the gold stock held at branches monthly to maintain accuracy.
- Review previous audit reports to confirm compliance, reporting any discrepancies or non-conformities.
- Carry out security inspections during audits, verify functionality of burglary alarms, CCTV systems, and weighing balances, ensuring adherence to security protocols.
- Travel willingness across various states and locations to perform audits or related assignments.
- Lead training sessions for branch employees on gold loan valuation processes to enhance their awareness.
- Maintain transparency and integrity in dealings, avoiding any direct or indirect conflicts of interest.
- Protect company assets provided for job execution.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
- Exhibit strong work ethics aimed at achieving results under strict deadlines and challenging conditions.
- Extended field work and readiness to travel extensively on short notice.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the department.
- Show managerial skills and mentor the team towards similar effectiveness.
- Define strategies and collaborate with the team to consistently meet business objectives month after month.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Commerce, Arts, Science, Biology, Business, Computers, or Management.
- Postgraduate qualification: MBA preferred.
- Professional Experience: Between 5 and 10 years in a relevant capacity.
