Role overview

This position focuses on the day-to-day upkeep of site facilities and administration at the Coimbatore location. The role supports smooth operations by overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating vendors, managing utilities and records, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

Facility and maintenance work

• Manage overall facility and administrative activities.
• Carry out technical inspections on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as per the planned preventive maintenance schedule.
• Join TT calls and support corrective maintenance, service work, and repair activities.
• Work with vendors for equipment and systems covered under warranty or AMC.
• Track energy consumption readings and maintain related records.
• Handle DG maintenance and related upkeep.
• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, including both electrical and mechanical components.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and associated wiring methods and materials.
• Work on relay logic and ladder diagrams, along with control devices such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tacks, and encoders.
• Support production in a safe, customer-oriented manner.
• Complete minor refurbishment and upgrade work for building finishes, fixtures, fittings, equipment, fixed furniture, and OPS assets such as trolleys, cages, and carts.
• Perform routine checks of fire alarms and fire extinguishers.
• Carry out lubrication and greasing of carts, trolleys, pumps, and rolling shutters.
• Manage regular electrical maintenance tasks.
• Handle permits for height work and hot work.
• Respond to minor civil and plumbing corrective maintenance calls.
• Share daily status reports covering TT closures, open cases, and root-cause analysis.
• Update tool inventory and maintain PPM schedules.
• Oversee soft services such as pest control, housekeeping, scrap disposal, and garbage disposal.
• Manage agency staff and coordinate the overall shift.

Operational responsibilities

• Control housekeeping and cleaning activities across the premises.
• Oversee sanitization and pest control work at the site.
• Manage preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, modifications, and infrastructure upkeep for site machinery and facilities.
• Support pantry services for the site.
• Assist operations teams with system and facility improvement initiatives.
• Maintain facility infrastructure in good working condition.
• Prepare contracts for housekeeping, pest control, and repairs and maintenance services.
• Keep accurate records of all operational, maintenance, and support activities.
• Ensure compliance with Amazon safety standards and Indian Factory Rules.
• Meet all statutory requirements related to facility management.
• Ensure timely payment of regular facility bills such as electricity, water, rented machines, and rent.
• Manage spares and maintain inventory control.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Handle infrastructure improvements, modifications, and project work as needed.
• Prepare Opex and Capex budgets.
• Create standard procedures and check sheets for the safe handling of routine activities.
• Maintain document control and records for statutory, maintenance, engineering, safety, and quality matters.

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate should have experience in electrical, mechanical, electronics and communication, or instrumentation and controls functions. Exposure to CMMS tools for planning preventive maintenance and recording reactive work is preferred.
