- Apply IFRS 15 or equivalent revenue recognition policies to assigned contracts.
- Reconcile revenue ledger entries against billing system data, investigating discrepancies.
- Drive the clearance of reconciling items through timely reconciliations.
- Support closing activities during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, including cut-off reviews and period adjustments.
- Maintain accurate revenue records, contract schedules, and related documentation.
- Assist in preparing revenue reporting schedules and necessary support information.
- Investigate common revenue exceptions and reporting issues, escalating complex cases as required.
- Analyze revenue variances across entities, document movements in recognized, accrued, and deferred revenue, and report significant differences to management.
- Support the Revenue Performance Lead in delivering revenue performance reports, analyses, and OTC reporting, including ad hoc tasks and period-end priorities.
- Collaborate with GFS teams, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, and Divisional Finance to resolve revenue performance concerns.
- Assist audit processes by providing documentation and information as requested.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies, internal controls, and governance standards.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting processes related to revenue performance.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in revenue or financial accounting within global Shared Services Centres or Global Business Services environments.
- Hands-on experience in revenue recognition, reconciliations, journal processing, revenue reporting, and month-end closing.
- Proficient knowledge of revenue recognition standards such as IFRS 15.
- Experience with ERP systems like Oracle Fusion or comparable accounting platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including use of lookups, pivot tables, and reconciliation techniques.
- Understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to investigate discrepancies and improve processes.
- Capable of resolving routine revenue performance issues independently, escalating complex matters appropriately.
- Effective stakeholder management, building cooperative relationships with Finance, Commercial, and OTC teams.
- Clear communication skills to address revenue queries and reporting needs.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Collaborative team member focused on continuous improvement and delivering accurate financial information.
