The assignment may be offered as fixed-term employment or as a day-rate contract, and it can be done remotely or from one of the company’s office locations with hybrid working options.

Key responsibilities

  • Convert business needs into Workday functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support automation efforts that reduce manual work and follow Workday best practices.
  • Help build and maintain HR data governance, including definitions, controls, data-quality standards, and change governance.
  • Create and update process documentation such as process maps, SOPs, configuration notes, and change logs.
  • Assist with UAT preparation and execution, including writing test scripts and tracking defects.

What the role asks for

  • Practical, hands-on Workday HCM experience covering configuration, tenant review, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience delivering or improving the Workday Advanced Compensation module, including merit, bonus, and stock components.
  • Solid process-improvement capability with an understanding of full end-to-end HR workflows.
  • Ability to work closely with technical teams to ensure configuration, integrations, and reporting are accurate.
  • Good knowledge of HR areas such as Core HR, Talent, Compensation, and data governance.
  • Confidence in turning business requirements into clear functional specifications.
  • Strong analytical thinking, documentation ability, and problem-solving skills.

Measures of success

  • Workday processes are streamlined and provide a more intuitive experience for HR and business users.
  • Requirements and documentation are well defined and support high-quality system changes.
  • Advanced Compensation is implemented successfully, with stakeholders engaged and defects kept to a minimum.
  • Clear governance is established through data definitions, quality controls, and change processes.
  • HR teams adopt the new processes and tools confidently thanks to effective training and knowledge transfer.
  • Continuous improvement becomes embedded through feedback loops that keep Workday evolving.
