Job description

About the company

Early Settler focuses on contemporary, stylish living. The brand offers affordable furniture and attractive homewares designed to help people build a home they genuinely enjoy spending time in, no matter their personal style.

Why this opportunity stands out

The company is seeking people who genuinely care about delivering an excellent customer experience and enjoy working toward shared goals with a supportive team. The workplace culture emphasises collaboration, mutual support, and doing your best together.

Benefits and culture

  • Generous staff discounts on the company’s product range
  • Wellbeing initiatives designed to support your overall health and balance
  • Opportunities to grow and develop your career
  • A fun, encouraging, and collaborative team atmosphere

Role overview

This is a hands-on retail operations position based in the store and back-of-house area. The role suits someone energetic, dependable, and comfortable staying active throughout the day while helping keep the store running smoothly from the sales floor to the warehouse dock.

Key duties

  • Load weekly trucks and containers carefully and accurately
  • Help customers collect their orders and ensure the handover is smooth
  • Move stock and products to support the sales team and shop floor presentation
  • Receive goods into the system with accuracy
  • Assemble furniture carefully and with attention to detail
  • Follow all workplace health and safety obligations
  • Keep the store and warehouse clean, organised, safe, and tidy
  • Work cooperatively with the team, use initiative, solve problems, and stay effective in a busy environment

What we are looking for

Ideal applicants enjoy variety, take pride in doing things properly, and work well in a supportive, fast-moving team. The role requires practical warehousing and retail support capability, strong communication, and a reliable, proactive approach.

Additional requirements

  • Prior experience in a similar warehousing or distribution support role
  • Comfortable using basic computer tools such as email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Genuinely motivated to help people and achieve good outcomes
  • Physically able to handle the products involved in the role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable, committed, self-starting, and driven with a positive can-do attitude
  • Because the role involves furniture handling, applicants must be able to safely lift, carry, and move items of different sizes as part of everyday duties

Work schedule and eligibility

The roster will vary as needed and may include weekend shifts and early starts. Applicants must be Australian citizens or residents, or already hold a valid visa and the legal right to work in Australia.

Selection note

The employer thanks all applicants for the time taken to apply. Due to the number of applications received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
