Job description
About the role
Wren Kitchens is hiring a Retail Sales Designer for its Southampton showroom. In this position, you will welcome customers, create inspiring kitchen and bedroom designs, and guide each customer smoothly through the full Wren sales and purchase process.
No previous kitchen or bedroom design background is required. What matters most is a proactive, goal-oriented approach and the ability to work well in a sales-driven environment.
The role is for 40 hours each week and includes a base salary of £26,440, plus uncapped commission with an on-target earnings potential of £50,000.
What Wren offers
- Comprehensive product, systems, and sales training, including one week of residential training at the Barton-upon-Humber Academy
- No limit on commission earnings
- Commission continues to be paid while you are on annual leave
- Eye care vouchers
- EE discount
- Employee referral reward scheme
- Strong company-wide opportunities
- Staff discount available after completing your first year
Main responsibilities
- Create imaginative kitchen and bedroom layouts that encourage customers to buy
- Present extra products and services, including finance options and installation
- Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally
- Deliver an excellent end-to-end customer experience
- Keep the order bank accurate and current while staying in regular contact with customers
Health, safety, and policy compliance
As part of your duties, you will be expected to read, understand, and follow all health and safety policies and procedures, including the responsibilities set out in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
About you
You should bring prior experience meeting sales targets in a retail setting, although this is desirable rather than essential. A creative eye, attention to detail, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction are important. You must also be available for shifts that may include evenings and weekends.
Checks and assessment
If you are offered the position, your employment will be subject to a basic criminal record check through the Disclosure & Barring Service before confirmation of appointment. A criminal record will not automatically rule you out; each case will be reviewed individually based on the nature of the offence and its relevance to the role.
