You’ll be part of a team that connects customers with products and services that fit their needs while supporting Verizon’s broader mission of enabling how people live, work, and play.
What You’ll Do
- Drive store sales by pairing a strong interest in technology with excellent customer interaction.
- Identify customer needs by building rapport and asking thoughtful questions.
- Recommend products and service options that create a complete solution for each customer.
- Use clear, effective communication to close sales and match customers with simple, practical tech answers.
- Keep developing your skills through continuous training, including store operations, merchandising, and inventory work.
- Reach out to existing Verizon customers by phone or text to promote relevant products and services.
- Represent Verizon at community and off-site sponsored events to help expand the customer base.
Compensation and Earnings
This is a commission-based role with strong earning potential. Base pay ranges from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, with the possibility of earning up to $18,000 per year in individual commissions if sales targets are met. High performers may earn an additional $14,500 or more in commissions, bringing total annual earnings to roughly $65,000+ to $75,500+. Pay depends on location, hours worked, and performance.
Benefits and Perks
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage from day one.
- 401(k) plan with employer matching up to 6% of eligible contributions, including qualified student loan repayment options.
- Recognition programs that may include travel, gifts, and other rewards for top performers.
- Five weeks of paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and personal days.
- Eight weeks of paid parental leave for eligible new parents, with up to 16 weeks possible for the birthing parent when combined with short-term disability.
- Up to $8,000 annually in tuition assistance.
- Up to 50% off Verizon products and services.
- Extra employee savings on attractions, auto, travel, and more.
- Additional compensation opportunities may include overtime, shift differentials, holiday pay, and allowances depending on the role.
- Up to 15 days of vacation in the first year for newly hired employees, increasing with service.
- For part-time employees, benefit eligibility depends on individual circumstances.
Working Schedule
This position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Your schedule will be shared four weeks in advance. Extra shifts may be available, especially during summer, November through December, and peak vacation periods. The role is scheduled for 40 hours per week.
Additional Information
Applicants may be asked to complete a screening assessment that takes about 19 minutes. If you move ahead in the process, a recruiter will contact you with more details and to answer questions. This is an onsite, worksite-based position at a defined store location. Verizon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified candidates without regard to veteran status, disability, or other legally protected characteristics.
