Job description
Role overview
As the Retail Enablement Strategy Lead for India, you will sit at the center of training, brand advocacy, and commercial sales impact. The programs you create will be used to improve Google hardware and services sell-out across a layered retail ecosystem. This position calls for a disciplined, structured communicator who can translate data into practical field execution, launch plans, and strong vendor governance. If you can build a compelling business case, shape retail partner decisions, and demonstrate the return on investment of advocacy programs, this role is a strong fit.
The Platforms and Devices organization covers Google’s computing software platforms across desktop, mobile, and applications, along with first-party devices and services that blend Google AI, software, and hardware. The team develops new technologies that make user interactions with computing faster and more seamless, creating innovative experiences for users worldwide.
Location
Applicants may choose their preferred working location from Gurugram, Haryana, India or Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in training, retail operations, sales, or program management.
Preferred qualifications
- 8 or more years of experience in training, retail operations, sales, or program management, with exposure to digital learning platforms that strengthen brand advocacy.
- Proven experience building enablement programs from the ground up, paired with strong executive presence and the ability to turn complex, fragmented operational challenges into clear, framework-led summaries and logically structured recommendations for senior leadership.
- Background in using multiple data sources such as mystery shopping, market share audits, and sell-out trends to identify field-level gaps and adjust strategy.
- Strong ability to negotiate, influence, and align both external retail partner headquarters and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and roll out end-to-end, data-led training and go-to-market enablement strategies that improve product knowledge, increase recommendation share, and lift sell-out for Google hardware and services.
- Build and maintain trusted, value-oriented relationships with internal cross-functional teams and senior leaders at external retail partner headquarters to align priorities and secure joint commercial plans.
- Lead third-party vendor training teams with a strong focus on operating discipline, defining SLA structures, managing performance KPIs, and reinforcing field accountability to maximize program ROI.
- Manage localized content delivery and digital learning platform usage across both covered and uncovered retail locations, while creating effective launch-readiness plans and Train-the-Trainer frameworks.
- Interpret channel data, field audits, and mystery shopping findings to assess shop-floor execution against device sales outcomes and present clear, actionable strategic recommendations to sales leadership.
