Job description
Overview
As a Security Consultant within Google Cloud’s Mandiant team, you will help organizations prepare for cyber threats, strengthen their defenses, and improve how they detect, investigate, and respond to attacks. The role combines technical security expertise with client-facing advisory work across incident response, forensic analysis, threat hunting, malware triage, and security validation.
Mandiant is known for its frontline experience handling sophisticated breaches, threat intelligence, incident response, and security assessment. In this role, you will work with complex environments and help clients address advanced threats while communicating clearly with technical teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer Cyber Defense Centers, spot gaps, recommend practical improvements, and carry plans through to delivery.
- Support advisory work for Cyber Defense Center, Computer Security Incident Response Team, and Security Operations Center operations, including technical decision-making.
- Use threat intelligence, attacker methods, containment approaches, and remediation practices to strengthen SOC detection and response capabilities.
- Build relationships with executive stakeholders, coordinate with client teams, and drive resolution of security challenges.
- Contribute to high-stakes engagements such as incident handling, forensic work, threat hunting, malware triage, and security testing of networks, applications, and devices.
- Act as a technical champion for information security requirements and help explain complex concepts to business, leadership, and technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- One or more certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GCED, GCFA, GCIA, GNFA, GPEN, GWAPT, CCNA, CEH, or LPT.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and assessing cybersecurity solutions across multiple security areas.
- Background in managing incident response work.
- Experience developing trusted relationships with executive stakeholders to support long-term project goals.
- Knowledge of security controls across common platforms and devices, including Linux and network equipment.
- Fluency in Arabic, as this is a client-facing position.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
