Role overview
The Research and Development Specialist will lead research-driven improvement efforts by spotting opportunities, assessing project needs, and shaping better products, services, and operating methods. The role is focused on strengthening performance, supporting strategic goals, and helping the company stay competitive through practical innovation.
What you'll do
- Identify potential investments, projects, and tenders, then study requirements to find opportunities for development and ongoing improvement that align with business objectives.
- Carry out research on project execution methods, construction approaches, materials, and new technologies.
- Assess new products and technologies, build preliminary feasibility studies, evaluate risks, and share recommendations that support sound decisions.
- Review project performance, pinpoint improvement areas, and design execution methods and procedures that raise efficiency and strengthen project results.
- Investigate technical and operational challenges, suggest suitable fixes, and help carry out corrective actions.
- Work closely with technical, engineering, and operations teams to keep R&D work aligned with project needs.
- Examine tender documents, interpret the scope of work, and provide both technical and financial input.
- Prepare analytical reports, studies, and recommendations for management review.
- Organize data for presentations and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Track industry standards and current practices, and contribute ideas that improve quality and overall performance.
- Research modern approaches and innovative solutions, then judge how practical they are for the company’s projects.
- Monitor KPIs, study performance gaps, and propose corrective measures where needed.
- Improve work methods and operational processes to support better delivery.
- Assist with digital transformation initiatives across the company.
- Record research outcomes, assess their impact, and ensure work is carried out in line with quality, governance, and risk requirements.
What we're looking for
- A relevant academic qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in a related professional role.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
- Strong spoken and written Arabic skills.
- Strong spoken and written English skills.
- Solid capability in data analysis and preparing polished presentations.
- Good communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
