Role Overview

This regional HSSE position is based in APAC and is responsible for converting global health, safety, security, and environment guidelines into a practical regional approach. The role ensures consistent rollout across country sites, supports compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), and strengthens local safety processes through coaching, audits, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare and submit monthly safety, security, and other required reports for all regional sites through the HSSE reporting platform.
  • Train and support site safety officers across the region so they can carry out HSSE responsibilities effectively.
  • Handle incident reporting, explain internal one-pager updates, and support timely investigations into safety, security, and behavior-related deviations.
  • Share HSSE knowledge with site teams to help standardize operating practices across the region.
  • Distribute local statistics, learning materials, newsletters, and one-pagers to site leaders.
  • Contribute local input to global HSSE guideline development and help refine regulations based on site feedback.
  • Perform quarterly regional QMS site audits focused on HSSE compliance.
  • Run monthly HSSE audits and monitor corrective actions in observation and implementation trackers for the relevant countries.
  • Capture and share best practices within both local and regional HSSE communities.
  • Conduct on-site checks of security systems with delegated teams or personnel.
  • Act as the first point of contact for regional HSSE queries.
  • Develop regional training concepts for emergency response teams and emergency plans.
  • Maintain the training matrix and keep regional training databases updated for all employees.
  • Implement Hazard Hunt and General Observation programs and use feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Review trends and introduce preventive measures to reduce risk over time.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Practical understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment methods, and investigation procedures.
  • Strong analytical ability and confidence working with data and statistical analysis.
  • Capability to review HSSE policies, standards, and procedures within a logistics environment.
  • Clear communication skills for working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills for HSSE-related issues.
  • Willingness to adapt, keep learning, and stay current on HSSE topics.
  • Ability to influence, engage, and challenge stakeholders on safety matters.
  • Self-driven approach with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
