Job description

Role overview

This leadership position sits within a major resort destination that includes multiple theme parks, water parks, resort hotels, golf courses, spas, a sports complex, an entertainment and dining district, and a wedding pavilion. The role calls for an experienced hotel executive to oversee resort operations across a portfolio of 6 to 8 hotel properties and guide a team of senior leaders. The position reports to the Vice President of Resort Operations.

What this role is expected to do

The Regional General Manager is responsible for strengthening hotel performance through high-quality guest experiences, strong cast member engagement, and continuous service improvement. The role also focuses on building strategies that grow business results, improve profitability, control expenses, and support world-class hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead executive-level leaders and their teams with clear operational direction and strategic oversight.
  • Own portfolio performance including P&L results, expense management, cast member engagement, and guest satisfaction.
  • Coach and support General Managers so each property performs successfully against its goals and metrics.
  • Set both immediate and long-term objectives with executive and property leaders to strengthen business outcomes.
  • Anticipate the needs of a global guest base and turn those insights into memorable service experiences.
  • Visit properties regularly to verify that brand expectations and operational standards are being met.
  • Build and develop teams that improve resort performance and guest experience measures.
  • Work closely with line-of-business partners to deepen integration, support pilots, and advance future-focused initiatives.
  • Champion change management and guide leaders and teams smoothly through transitions.
  • Show commitment, openness, enthusiasm, and sensitivity to team needs so cast members feel empowered and engaged.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a hotelier with significant executive leadership experience, strong business judgment, and a proven ability to deliver financial and operational results. The ideal candidate should have a track record of driving innovation, service excellence, and organizational change, along with the ability to inspire teamwork and positive momentum across multiple properties. Experience with benchmarking and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are important. Multilingual or bilingual capability is preferred.

Required background

  • 7 to 10+ years of demonstrated operational executive leadership experience leading other senior leaders.
  • Strong commercial understanding with the ability to improve key performance indicators, manage operating costs, and strengthen profitability.
  • History of leading transformation, innovation, and higher service standards through strategic alignment.
  • Experience delivering operational excellence and financial performance while creating meaningful guest experiences for diverse global audiences.
  • Background in transformational work or hotel brand transformation.
  • Ability to motivate others, encourage enthusiasm, and build teamwork.
  • Clear commitment to diversity and inclusion, including welcoming different perspectives and supporting a diverse workforce.
  • Experience comparing internal and external benchmarks to identify best practices.
  • Bilingual or multilingual ability is preferred.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or a related discipline is required. An MBA or another relevant master’s degree is preferred.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this Florida-based role is $214,600 to $287,700 per year. The final base pay may differ based on factors such as internal equity, the candidate’s location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be included as part of the compensation package. Additional benefits may include medical, financial, and other offerings depending on the level and position.
