About the role and team

Disney+ is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Merchandiser for the UK and Ireland market to join its Regional Programming team. The role centers on delivering high-quality editorial and operational execution across the Disney+ experience in one of the most fast-moving and competitive streaming markets.

You will oversee merchandising across the homepage and other customer-facing areas using CMS tools, tailor regional plans with a strong British editorial lens, highlight UK originals and acquisitions alongside global titles and branded tentpoles, and help deliver impactful editorial activations and stunts. Reporting to the Senior Merchandising Manager, EMEA, you will collaborate with teams across EMEA, the US, and multiple cross-functional partners to help Disney+ engage audiences at every touchpoint.

This position is based in the London Hammersmith office. The working pattern is four days per week in the office, with the option to work from home on either Monday or Friday.

The team operates with Disney’s core values: Integrity, Inclusion, Creativity, Collaboration, and Community.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day merchandising delivery for Disney+ in the UK and Ireland, making sure all customer-facing surfaces, including the homepage, stay accurate, appealing, and performance-led.
  • Localize broader EMEA merchandising plans using market insight, audience trends, and local editorial opportunities relevant to the UK and Ireland.
  • Build, update, and test CMS pages end to end, covering pages, collections, sets, badges, calls to action, and complete quality checks for service previews.
  • Shape regional plans with a clearly British perspective while promoting UK originals, acquisitions, and branded content.
  • Work closely with Marketing to support integrated campaigns, launch planning, and milestone meetings.
  • Coordinate with Social and PR teams to support Coming Soon commitments and external announcements.
  • Use feedback from Customer Engagement and Analytics teams to make timely merchandising adjustments based on performance.
  • Develop and deliver bespoke UK editorial stunts and activations with Creative teams.
  • Serve as the main Disney+ contact for UK partner platforms such as Sky, Virgin Media, and others, sharing current content recommendations and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Join programming weeklies, stand-ups, regional reviews, presentations, and content briefings to support the wider Programming function.

Required qualifications and skills

  • Background in a UK broadcast, streaming, or SVOD environment.
  • Practical experience working in a customer-facing CMS.
  • Strong understanding of Disney’s brand portfolio, including general entertainment labels such as FX and Hulu.
  • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to work across teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong customer-first approach.
  • Well-developed organisation skills and the ability to juggle several projects and workstreams at once.
  • Solid knowledge of the UK streaming and media market, including the competitive landscape.

Preferred experience

  • Exposure to sports programming or editorial plans built around sports.
  • Comfort using Airtable, Google Sheets or Excel, PowerPoint or Google Slides, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience creating and presenting dashboards, performance reports, or update decks.
  • Experience working with external content partners and platform integrations.

Perks and benefits

  • 25 days of annual leave.
  • Private medical cover and dental care.
  • Complimentary park entry for you, your family, and friends.
  • Discounts on selected products, resorts, food and beverage, and ticketing.
  • Enhanced parental and guardian leave.
  • Employee resource groups including WOMEN @ Disney, Disney Mosaic, Disney PRIDE, ENABLED, and TRUST.
