Role overview
The Region Manager for Cleveland is responsible for driving sales and distribution expansion for the company’s portfolio, with a strong focus on distributor leadership, market development, and execution across chain and retail accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Own the growth of sales and distribution for the assigned market.
- Design distributor programs that target current and prospective accounts to improve distribution, shelf presence, and in-store merchandising execution.
- Strengthen distributor engagement by regularly leading meetings, keeping management teams informed about company priorities, and creating programs that maintain focus on the brand.
- Monitor results and compare performance against major business priorities.
- Drive the “Multiplier Effect” by coaching distributor sales teams and managers on product knowledge, sales approach, brand storytelling, and promotions so they represent the company effectively in the trade.
- Manage distributor inventory levels in coordination with the customer orders team and distributor purchasing managers.
- Build strong business relationships across the market that translate into measurable results.
- Work with the Sales Director to create and execute the distributor annual business plan and the market sales strategy.
- Lead, train, develop, and hold accountable the Field Sales Reps in the market.
- Organize market blitzes across assigned and adjacent locations as needed.
- Handle account management, planning, and execution for chain and key accounts.
- Plan and deliver marketing promotions, festivals, and event activations with customers.
- Use distributor data and reporting systems to spot expansion opportunities, recover lost sales, increase incremental volume, and uncover business insights.
- Log sales activity and weekly outcomes, and provide supporting documentation for sales and bonus targets.
- Consistently meet the sales goals established with the Regional Sales Director.
- Maintain regular communication with Field Sales Reps, the Regional Sales Director, the Marketing Manager, the Key Account Team, Sales Management, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure distributors and retailers understand and follow the company’s quality expectations.
- Stay aware of legal restrictions that apply to company products in each market and make sure all programs comply with those rules.
- Keep a flexible schedule, including weekends and extended workdays when required.
- Maintain a professional image, a clean and organized vehicle, and represent the company positively.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Understanding of the 3-tier system and the balance between wholesaler management and retail execution.
- Knowledge and skill in distributor inventory management.
- Familiarity with VIP iDig, Karma, Nielsen Scan Data, and Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and tolerate stressful operational and administrative situations.
- Capacity to frequently lift and move 10–25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate equipment and controls.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience required; previous beer distributor or supplier experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to travel up to 35%.
- Reliable vehicle required.
- Valid driving record and personal auto liability insurance required.
Additional details
This is a full-time, exempt salary role reporting to the Regional Sales Director and includes responsibility for managing others. The position uses standard office equipment. Pay
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 per year.
Schedule and working conditions
