Role overview

Amazon is looking for a highly capable and results-focused Recruiting Manager to support talent acquisition for its India growth. The role calls for someone who is driven by strong client and candidate experiences and who can help attract top talent for a fast-scaling organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Shape and strengthen sourcing plans by creating diverse talent pipelines, using multiple recruitment channels, and guiding the team on effective sourcing and candidate engagement practices.
  • Work closely with business leaders and hiring managers to understand hiring priorities, influence recruitment approaches, and ensure a smooth, high-quality journey for candidates.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the recruiting team in a demanding environment by setting performance expectations, defining metrics, monitoring progress, and creating growth opportunities.
  • Spot and roll out productivity enhancements that help the team achieve hiring targets without compromising quality or candidate experience.
  • Drive cross-functional talent acquisition initiatives, share insights with stakeholders, and continuously improve recruitment processes.

About the day-to-day work

In this position, you will spend time improving sourcing capability across the recruiting team, partnering with hiring managers and business leaders, and reviewing market trends to understand where strong candidates can be found. You will coach recruiters on sourcing methods, collaborate on candidate assessment and experience, and contribute to special projects that advance talent acquisition practices. Tracking team metrics and finding ways to improve efficiency will also be part of the role.

About the team

The recruiting team works collaboratively across several locations in India to support Amazon’s customer-focused mission. The group brings together varied viewpoints to solve complex hiring challenges, works closely with business partners to address changing needs, and focuses on strategic talent solutions. The team also places strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and innovative hiring practices.

Qualifications

  • You should have at least 6 years of experience in recruiting or HR.
  • Prior experience in talent acquisition or broader HR functions is required.
  • You must have experience leading, coaching, and managing a recruiting team.
  • Hands-on familiarity with recruitment systems and tools such as resume databases, online sourcing tools, and spreadsheets is needed.
  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in team leadership and development is required.
  • Experience in people management is necessary.

Preferred experience

  • Experience building and improving workflows between candidates, hiring managers, and recruiting teams is preferred.
  • Experience supervising senior staff or staffing managers will be an advantage.
  • Background in workforce planning is desirable.
  • Experience partnering with hiring teams to develop sourcing, assessment, and closing strategies while managing partner expectations is preferred.
