About the Role

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Receptionist to join their team at Woodview, Whalley. This role is crucial for managing busy mental health inpatient reception areas, providing excellent customer service and administrative support. The position is part-time, requiring 20.5 hours per week, with a rotating schedule. The reception operates 7 days a week from 7 am to 9 pm, and flexibility to cover other reception areas within Pennine may be required. This role is subject to a service improvement and redesign program, which may involve changes to roles and structures.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors and service users in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls efficiently.
  • Issue security swipes and alarms to staff and visitors.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and other general office duties.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Cover other reception desks within the Pennine area as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a customer service or reception role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo a standard DBS clearance.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
