Job description
Role Overview
Al Fattan Properties is hiring a Purchase/Procurement Coordinator for its real estate operations in Sharjah. The role focuses on sourcing support, supplier coordination, purchase order handling, cost comparison, and day-to-day procurement administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support tooling sourcing activities and coordinate movement to suppliers.
- Assist management with sourcing and negotiating with new vendors.
- Review quotations from both new and existing suppliers and prepare cost comparisons.
- Spot, escalate, and help resolve material shortages before they disrupt production.
- Discuss pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines with current and prospective suppliers.
- Maintain organized records by sorting and filing procurement documents.
- Generate purchase orders after confirming specifications and pricing in line with company procedures.
- Review the purchase order system for open orders awaiting invoices and take action to research or close them as needed.
- Serve as a point of contact with vendors and support purchasing consolidation.
- Handle concerns related to trade partner change orders and reconciliation of purchase orders.
- Assess supplier performance and provide support in supplier evaluation.
- Prepare and dispatch purchasing orders.
- Take on additional procurement-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or real estate.
- Working knowledge of the UAE market.
- Strong problem-solving ability across multiple options and scenarios.
- High attention to detail.
- Capability to audit, understand, analyze, and interpret documents accurately.
- Exposure to supplier diversity requirements is preferred.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling information.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively and delegate when required.
- Clear verbal communication skills.
- Comfort with repetitive keyboard-based computer work.
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret reports.
