Purchase Specialist

Overview

Join Cindavi as a Purchase Specialist to manage a vital segment of our supply chain responsible for equipment that saves lives worldwide. Based in Wilmington, Ohio, this role entails more than just order processing; you will drive the procurement of critical components that sustain high-volume manufacturing operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for purchasing a designated category of complex, durable manufactured parts and materials.
• Develop and nurture strong, accountable relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, ensure delivery reliability, and address supply shortages promptly.
• Work closely with production, scheduling, and quality teams to synchronize material availability with manufacturing needs.
• Serve as the key intermediary between suppliers and internal quality control teams to investigate and resolve issues related to non-conforming goods.
• Continuously optimize supplier lead times, order quantities, and safety stock levels to guarantee operational continuity while managing inventory costs.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten or more years of direct, practical experience in purchasing roles.
• In-depth knowledge of durable goods manufacturing, including familiarity with parts, production processes, and assessing supplier performance.
• Excellent communication skills and persistence to effectively manage challenging supplier interactions and secure commitments.
• A stable employment history and a motivation to establish a long-term career with the company.
• Ability to adapt to new ERP software and operate confidently within an FDA-regulated, ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
